In class, students will participate in a variety of hands-on activities and experiments. All activities will be completed in class--no supplies to gather or messes to manage at home! Homework will include weekly reading assignments from our textbook, God’s Design for Science-Life.

Description: Does your student need a biology credit, but isn’t quite ready for traditional biology class? This may be a great option! This course takes students on a fascinating journey into one of the biggest questions in science--where did life come from? The beautifully designed textbooks take a deep dive into the theory of evolution alongside the evidence for creation, teaching students to think critically, analyze scientific data, and form well-supported conclusions of their own. We will study paleontology, biology, and geology as we examine real-world evidence and insights from scientists around the world. This class strengthens scientific reasoning while equipping students to confidently defend their faith through science.

Description: In this course, students will explore the exciting world of forensic science and learn how investigators use evidence to uncover the truth. We will study topics such as fingerprinting, DNA, shoe and tire impressions, blood spatter, fire investigation, through hands-on labs and interactive activities. Students will also examine real case studies to see how forensic science is used in investigations. All lessons are taught from a biblical worldview, encouraging students to seek truth, think critically, and see how science can be used to honor God. Homework will consist of weekly reading assignments from our textbook. Please note: This course deals with real cases and sensitive topics, and is therefore recommended for students in grades 11 and 12. *However, parents are welcome to register younger high school students at their discretion.
