Tutor: Mrs. Vickie Rukavina
Description: Different emotions will be explored and how to regulate ourselves. As a class we will practice different actions we can do to make ourselves peaceful. We will be using sea creatures to name each emotion. Music and books will be used to learn about each.
Character qualities will be focused on as well and will be taught from a Biblical view. We will learn songs about how much Jesus loves us and how He gives us strength and power to do what is right. Much action will be incorporated throughout each class time. Diane Alber has written many books, songs, and coloring sheets that are great tools for this topic that I will be using as my "spine" for our scope and sequence.

Description: PreK/Kindergarteners will learn through a variety of lessons and activities based around children’s rich literature, following the 5 In A Row curriculum. Following the curriculum’s books, we will have a chance to expand and explore early reading, writing, social studies, language, art, applied math and even science. We will learn together through a variety of activities that will be developmentally age appropriate to your child.
Children will be exposed to a friendly classroom environment and expected to work respectively and cooperatively with teachers, assistants, and peers...learning/strengthening basic classroom and community manners.
NOTE: This class meets for two hours.
