Description:
“Study the Christian heritage of those who shaped America in Marilyn Boyer’s REVISED "For You They Signed”. This all-in-one edition offers both the student text as well as the assignments, quizzes, and cumulative tests.
This study of our Christian heritage is focused on the historical events and people surrounding the Declaration of Independence. The early Founding Fathers of the United States of America were men of principle who debated important points of government, liberty, and the God-given rights of mankind. Their work and sacrifice created an enduring legacy that led to some of the most influential documents in history, like the Constitution of the United States of America.
In this American history homeschool curriculum, your junior high students will have an opportunity to learn how the American colonists chose to respond to the increasing tyranny of the British Empire and why the course of revolution was one they took after all other efforts at relief had failed. Designed for grades 7-9, lessons contain a mix of source documents, related scriptures, short biographies, quotes, and real-world connections.”

Description: Choir has arrived at HRT!!!!!
I am so excited to announce the start of an awesome journey into choir! I earned my degree in Music Education - Vocal Instruction, from St Paul Bible College (Crown College) in 1988. Choir is what I do best and it is what I love the most!! I directed a children’s choir at my former church and now I get to pour into the choir kids at HRT.
Our choir time will consist of learning basic music theory, note reading, rhythm, harmony, as well as preparing music for a Christmas concert and a Spring concert. The repertoire will be varied, but all faith based. My goals for any choir are as follows:
- First and foremost - Giving glory to God with and for the gift of music
- Appreciation for many styles of vocal music
- Respect for fellow choir members
- Quality vocal sound
- Provide a fun atmosphere
I hope to meet many of your students in choir this fall!

a cellular and molecular level. Biology begins with Creation, and from there we cover microbiology, through more advanced life forms and end with the magnificence of the human body.
This class is a great opportunity for students to learn how to take notes, as part of the weekly lectures. Additionally, there are weekly worksheets and quizzes. Mrs. Wicklander also includes other resources, as applicable to the curriculum. Year 1 and Year 2 may be taken in any order.

Description: This year we will be learning all about Chemistry and Physics. The first half of the year we will cover important chemistry concepts, such as properties of matter, atoms, the periodic table, acid/bases, and so much more. Physics will be our focus for the second half of the school year as we cover topics like energy, magnetism, electricity, and many others. Our class time will be hands-on and full of experiments, demonstrations, and activities to keep students engaged. Students will have weekly reading assignments to complete at home, and the experiments will be completed in class--no gathering supplies or messy experiments at home! The text we are using, Apologia Exploring Creation with Chemistry and Physics, does a wonderful job of taking key topics and making them understandable for all ages, regardless of a student's previous science experience. This class will be geared toward upper elementary through middle school age, and is an excellent class to take before heading into more challenging high school science.
